With Michael Jarvis as a juvenile, it will be interesting to see how Secrecy performs on his first start for Saeed Bin Suroor on his belated first start for Godolphin but a safer option looks to be his former stable companion ALAZEYAB, who gets the verdict ahead of Espiritu. Jeremy Noseda's gelding ran much better when a close third in a decent handicap at Ascot when last seen in July and he has solid claims off just a 2lb higher mark today. Luca Cumani has his string in good form but his runner, Swop, needs to improve from recent efforts to trouble the judge and of more interest may be another runner from the yard of Michael Jarvis, We'll Come. The five-year-old was a cosy winner of a handicap at Ascot's Shergar Cup meeting last time but an 8lb rise for that success makes this more difficult for the five-year-old. With Andrew Balding's stable coming into good form, recent Kempton runner-up Brief Encounter has to be considered but preference is for Alazeyab. Although he has won over 1m2f, the son of El Prado has struggled over the trip of late and seemed to appreciate the return to a mile when narrowly beaten by Roaring Forte at York last month and he can go one better off a 3lb higher mark today.
