It is to be hoped that the market proves the biggest help in division one of this maiden. In the absence of it, KITE WOOD is put forward with Lively Fling and Espiritu the others to make appeal. Michael Jarvis' colt is very much bred with the trip in mind and lost no caste in defeat behind Poster on introduction. That rival went on to win easily in the week and has been talked up as being decent. Lively Fling is particularly well bred and his relatives include Dushyantor. Were he to possess something akin to that ability, he would be some horse indeed. Espiritu brings Newmarket form to the table. He finished only just behind Cityscape on that occasion and Roger Charlton's charge simply dotted up at Salisbury in a Novice stakes at the start of the week. Golden Sword was easy to back at Tipperary and while never looking a winner, showed enough to suggest that there might be a maiden in the offing shortly. Threestepstoheaven hasn't looked anything special but is nevertheless respected given Barry Hills record at the track. Anthology is held in some regard at the Bryan Smart stable and has to be noted in the market. This should throw up plenty of winners and we are with Kite Wood.
