Verdict

Bathwick Man created a favourable impression on his hurdling debut at Newton Abbot but disappointed on a return to the same venue the following week and David Pipe's gelding looks best watched under his penalty with a better bet looking to be WAKE BOARD, who gets the vote with All Lit Up rated the pick of the remainder. The selection showed promise on his only start in France and now in the care of Evan Williams, who has his team in good from, the son of Dansili is taken to make a winning British debut. Rivington Pike ran a creditable race on his hurdling debut but would not want any further softening of the ground judged by his Flat form, while Stop On was a capable performer on the level but lacks any hurdling experience and that may count against him. All Lit Up is held by Bathwick Man on Newton Abbot form but he does have a handy pull at the weights and could improve for what was his debut over timber. Wake Board looks a likely type though and he is preferred.
