A large field goes to post for the last big flat handicap of the season and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Wunderwood, Harcourt, Capitano Corelli and we will take a chance on Harcourt. The three year old from the Paul Cole yard is one of the least exposed in the field, he won well last time out when defeating Once and with the booking of Kevin Darley catching the eye he will be hard to beat off what looks a fair mark. Wunderwood rates the main danger he won well last timeout when defeating Royal Cavalier and he should go well but his best form is with more cut in the ground and he may find this surface to fast so for that reason he is opposed.Capitano Coreli is a stalemate of the selection and he to should go well he was a good second behind Maktub last time and with Kieron Fallon onboard he will not be far away but he is better with more in the ground. La Sylphide could also go well he has improved with each run this season and won well at Haydock last time out when defeating Magic Mistress but this is much more competitive. Canada was a good second behind Eastern Breeze last time out and his astute trainer has had this race in mid for him for some time so it would be no surprise to see him go close, he should gain revenge on that rival here on these revised term. Champion Lion could be a lively outsider he traveled well for a long way over a longer trip last time and with the drop in distance sure to suit he could go well. Of the remainder Gold Ring is from a shrewd ayrd and is worth noting in the market but we are happy to side with Harcourt.
