Platinum Charmer has enough form in the bag to command respect and is selected over Zeis, Bold Blade and Face The Limelight. Platinum Charmer was second to Golden Chance in amateur company at Yarmouth on his last start and was successful at Musselburgh in May. Karl Burke's charge is very adept in this sort of company and his overall form commands the utmost respect. Zeis took advantage of the drop to this grade when scoring at Brighton recently and can give the selection most to do. The former Bryan Smart inmate Bold Blade made a winning start for new connections when winning at Brighton but made no show in handicap-company at Chester last time. He should fare better back at this level, and Face The Limelight has the assistance of Kevin Darley so at least will get some help in the saddle. Platinum Charmer has the best form overall and is the one to beat.
