In The Fan can step up on his debut effort to make the journey from Arundel worthwhile, with newcomer Querido and improving Tom Forest seen as the main dangers. John Dunlop's inmates normally come on a bundle for a run, and that is what we expect In The Fan to do. The gelded son of Lear Fan was just touched off by the 'expected' Fox on his Newmarket debut and is open to bags of improvement. Querido holds an entry in the Gimcrack and this well-bred individual, related to Snow Bride on the dam's side, hails from a stable doing well with it's first-time out juveniles. Tom Forest beat all bar the odds-on Leo's Lucky Star at Pontefract last time and must surely pick up a maiden on that form. Rainbow Rising is owned by Andrea and Graham Wylie and has a couple of decent entries so is also worth a mention, but In The Fan is the pick of the bunch.
