CYFLYMDER is given the vote in the last turf flat race of 2009, while Excusez Moi and Collateral Damage are others to note in a tricky heat. The Richard Hannon-trained pick will be a decent price here, as he has proved difficult to get a win out of in recent runs. However, he acts well with cut underfoot, has a good draw today, and was going well enough when put out of the race through no fault of his own here last month. He is guaranteed to run his race, hazards permitting, and he looks one we can play at each-way prices here. Excusez Moi has served Ruth Carr well this time, being tried over various trips and winning over this 7f on good ground at Musselburgh along the way. He has won on soft ground too, so he is respected. The same goes for Collateral Damage, who represents Tim Easterby, and relishes the mud. He drops back in trip here but is likely to get the strong pace he will need to bring his stamina into play and could go very close. Kyllachy Star is adaptable with regards to the ground, although probably better when it is quicker than today. Nonetheless he is in good heart and is respected. Dixey is another to consider, although despite positives over trip and ground, he has gone up in the weights for being beaten last time and is likely to go well without winning. The ground has gone against One Way Or Another, but course and distance scorer Dhaular Dhar is not badly handicapped now and could show up well. Preference, however, is for Cyflymder.
