Another very competitive heat where we will side with RAINBOW DESERT to achieve another success for Godolphin, while Les Fazzani and Arwaah are very likely to be among the leading players. The latter pair are the top two on BHA ratings after some impressive performances so far in the context of this race. Les Fazzani already has a soft ground course and distance win to her name and has twice won in Listed company before today, including this race 12 months ago when rated 11lbs lower. There is no doubting she will be tough to beat, while Arwaah will be no back number. Marcus Tregoning's filly was last seen running a blinder in Newmarket's Group 2 Pride Stakes and neither this drop back in class nor trip should reduce her chance. Her sire, Dalakhani, relished cut in the ground, so again her credentials are right up there. However, Rainbow Desert is the one standout contender who is totally unexposed here. The Dynaformer filly handled cut well when dotting up on her Warwick debut over an inadequate mile last month. This extra two furlongs look an ideal way of bringing out what looks likely to be plenty of improvement, and as a plus she has a useful draw, so we will take the plunge with her. Hidden Brief did not go badly at all when tried in this grade in the Cheshire Oaks back in May, before winning a Newbury maiden, though this looks hotter. Mooakada has the form to get interested in this, although she has yet to race on soft ground, so in spite of a favourable pedigree she has that to prove. Arthur's Girl, Benedicte and Perfect Star all have very solid profiles and can go well without winning, and that honour can go to Rainbow Desert.
