In depth

Verdict

Caution should always be taken when Mark Johnston runs more than one in a handicap but Franny Norton rides DANCING KING and he wasn’t hard pressed to complete his hat-trick at Leicester six weeks ago. The 7lb higher mark is a concern but he is still preferred to York winner Kondo Isami and Sandown runner-up Silver Shade. Albert Camus has only won at Lingfield so far while it was soft going when Olympic Theatre and Reverend Hubert won last time. Alpine Stroll has placed the last twice off this mark but will need the longer trip to bring about improvement.
