      Verdict

      Little between this field, all of whom are likely to enjoy useful juvenile campaigns. The vote goes to BOONIE as Kevin Ryan's colt always looked in control on his Beverley debut and came home in good style. He should improve again and is just preferred to Secret Strength. The form of the latter's debut is working out well and he didn't receive the best of passages at York when still a respectable fourth. Big Boy Harley shaped well here on debut and Beauzon and Red Warning have already shown ability with a win.

      Boonie (IRE) 7-2 (9-3) Tracked leaders, pushed 2f out, hit front entering final furlong, ridden clear, won at Beverley 5f stks (5) gf in Apr beating Tippy Toes (9-0) by 3 1/4l, 9 ran.

      Red Warning (IRE) 5-1 (9-3) Slightly slow to stride, pulled hard in rear, headway between horses over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, close up entering final furlong, ran on strongly to lead close home, won at Ayr 5f mdn stks (4) gf in May beating Showtime Mahomes (9-3) by 1 1/4l, 6 ran.
