Moon Forest can land the finale ahead of Starchy, Sea Hunter and Cool Panic to name but a few. A large turnout in the final race of the day does not help matters, but quite a lot can be ruled out on the basis of last season's form. In any case, Moon Forest should be a major player judged on a couple of sterling efforts at Warwick and Newbury last year. He was fully expected at Warwick and made virtually all of the running, and carried that form into his nursery debut at Newbury on his final start in October. He has faced some testing conditions in the past and so could turn into a real battler, and with the in-form Jamie Spencer on board, he may well prove hard to pass. There should be no stamina problems, as connections view him as very much a mile horse this term. Mark Johnston has got off to good start and relies on Starchy rather than Mafaheem who was engaged at the five-day stage. She bolted up on heavy ground on her sole outing at Nottingham and could turn out to be above average, so topweight is not off-putting in the least. Sea Hunter put in one or two decent efforts last term, and Cool Panic looked the part when scoring at Redcar last August. Of Kevin Ryan's pair, Missperon and Coleorton Dane, it is the latter that is preferred on the strength of encouraging work, but even so, Moon Forest will prove hard to pass if carrying over his form from last season.
