The superbly-bred Ohio State has been very disappointing in handicaps this season while Make A Promise appears to have gone backwards after a very promising debut, though the quicker ground may help recover his form. Balmari has been a beaten favourite in three of his last four starts and his best form has been at Dundalk but BIG WHITE CHIEF looked a likely future winner when a very good second to Call Me Rocky at Limerick then pulled too hard on very testing going at Roscommon. He looks better at this stage than stablemate Allez Allez Allez, who finished last at Naas, but Stalingrad looks a threat after a debut second behind shock winner Soaring Monarch at Limerick.
