        Verdict

        A competitive opener but it would be no surprise to see the still-improving Clever Candy complete the hat-trick. Ultra Violet is only a pound higher than when second at Leicester and Chepstow last month while Superiority looked ready for a step back up in trip when runner-up at Chelmsford. Inevitable Outcome and Queen Of Burgundy can’t be ignored with Lethal Angel and Luna Wish unlikely to be far away again but a tentative vote goes to CAMACHESS, who is something of a course specialist and would not have enjoyed softer ground last time at Haydock.
