Global Genius gets the confident vote in this maiden with Mutamarres and Methusaleh put forward as the most likely dangers. The selection hails from a yard that have got a good strike-rate at this track and his second in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot at York would give him strong claims here. He has since come out and run well at Doncaster and although he is not ideally drawn, he remains the one to beat. Mutamarres made a really pleasing debut at Newmarket when a close third behind Flight Captain and if this colt can improve for that debut effort then he will not be far away at the finish. However, his inexperience will make it even more difficult for him to win from stall 7. Methusaleh does have a good draw and he ran well over today's course and distance when a close second behind Stainley. He has since disappointed but that was on soft ground, and he is certainly not without a chance. Gracechurch looks the best of the remainder but he has the outside draw in stall 8 and looks worth opposing, and for the winner we will stick with the Barry Hills-trained colt Global Genius.
