    Verdict

    This is a fascinating contest in which Hot, Past Tender and League Champion are expected to fight out the finish and the vote is given to Past Tender. The selection is proven on this track and that might help him to reverse placings with Hot from their recent meeting at Lingfield when Hot prevailed by 2l. The form of Past Tender's race here over 5f has worked out well and on these terms he is entitled to get the better of Richard Hannon's colt. League Champion has shown a decent level of form and he didn't handle the soft ground which would excuse his disappointing effort at Goodwood last time. However, he may find this trip a little on the sharp side and for the winner we will return to Past Tender.
