With very little strength in depth in the line up this should be no more than a match between Dhaular Dhar and Tavalu, with preference for the latter. The Barry Hills-trained Dhaular Dhar showed plenty of promise on his Newmarket debut last month when not getting the clearest of runs when second behind The Coires. That was on a soft surface though and the son of Indian Ridge is far from certain to be so effective on a faster surface today. None of the others with racing experience make much appeal with the Michael Mullineaux-trained pair Layed Back Rocky and Lake Wakatipu probably the pick of them. Reg Hollinshead's newcomer Polar Passion makes limited appeal on his debut and the vote goes to another debutant Tavalu. Godolphin have done little wrong with their juveniles this term and this well related son of Kingmambo takes the eye on pedigree. The fast ground should not be a problem for the half-brother to Razkalla, who gets the vote over Dhaular Dhar.
