An open maiden that can go to Ignition, who has shown a good level of progression so far and is selected over Plenty Cried Wolf and Harrys House, who are also going the right way. Mickey Hammond clouds the picture somewhat by sending out three newcomers in the race, with Demolition Frank making the most appeal on pedigree and money to support his chance will be interesting. Secret Pact is another to throw into the mix, as he has shown signs of ability and may appreciate this faster ground. However, he has been expensive to follow so far and does not appeal as one to trust implicitly for a large stakes play. The official assessor has Plenty Cried Wolf as the best horse in the race at this stage and that will no doubt have a bearing on his price. Nevertheless, he is also nothing out of the ordinary and he would probably struggle if this were a handicap. Harrys House coped with the step up to this trip last time and will be a threat to them all if repeating the effort. However, Ignition may have his measure in terms of experience over the distance and, with some useful form already to his name, he is taken to make it fourth time lucky from his visits to the racecourse.
