Patrick Haslam made hay in these sort of contests at the beginning of the year and his Courant D'Air looks worth siding with over Roman The Park and Calculaite in a race that will not take too much winning. The last named does have a little to prove over the trip though and has a fair bit to prove regarding his stamina and resolution, while Roman The Park was far from disgraced when finishing third here in his last outing. Tim Easterby's charge is still quite lightly raced and looks sure to make an impact at this level during the winter. However, Courant D'Air has an abundance of stamina on his side and, as an habitual front runner, he could be too tough to pass if he is allowed an easy time of things in the lead.
