      Verdict

      Proxenia secures the vote ahead of Asawir and Macedon. Richard Hannon's charge has failed to land her maiden on three starts thus far but with the likely opposition looking nothing special - the chance is taken one more time. In reality, she does hold a solid chance off a light racing weight. Mick Channon saddled Grantley Adams to beat the Hannon filly at Hamilton and is represented by Asaawir. She was reported to have felt wrong after leaving the stalls on debut but the fact that she's back here so quickly suggests that must have been all but a minor scare. Stan Moore's two-year-olds seem to be finishing close up without winning. Macedon is closely related to the highly useful Dazzle so any market confidence is duly noted. The Grey One stayed on during his debut without troubling the judges. Miss Maxi is reportedly a doubtful runner. The remainder appear difficult to fancy on balance. Proxenia is selected in the evidence of others' apparent frailties.
