Luca Cumani is a rare visitor to these parts and he can take this race with Pope's Hill although At Your Request should go close. The booking of Frankie Dettori for his old guv'nor certainly catches the eye and the horse has fair form thus far including a fourth place in a better maiden at Haydock. Had the jockey not dropped the whip, he could have finished even closer to the gold medal position. Pope's Hill posted a disappointing effort at Beverley but he is related to some hardy types such as Alleluia so it may be worth chancing that he was having a bad day at the office last time out. Light Wind was unfortunate to run into Day Flight on debut but her stable can hardly be said to be firing at the moment. Jayer Gilles is a son of Busy Flight so there is no problem with today's trip. Fred's First has been contesting races of lesser ability on the all-weather while the others look hard to fancy on all racecourse evidence. We will stick with the Italians and head for Pope's Hill.
