The booking of Frankie Dettori on SATWA LAIRD is eye-catching and we'll take a chance with Ed Dunlop's runner at the expense of last time out winner Addwaitya and the consistent Southandwest. Close twice off comparable marks last Autumn the pick will have to recover from poor effort last time but with a top jockey booked we can surmise connections are expecting a big run. Addwaitya bounced back to form in a small field event at Folkestone last time. Consistency has never been her forte so we are not convinced he can follow up under a revised burden. Southandwest has blinkers on for the first time and an in-form jock in the plate. While he has been putting it all in during recent starts he still looks a little high in the handicap. Effigy has a nice consistent profile and if putting his best foot forward looks well treated but Frankie should finish with a win on Satwa Laird.
