In a poor contest Cobreces is given a confident vote to open his account in this country. Successful over fences in his native France, the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding had to play second best to Robert Alner's No Visibilty on his British debut at Taunton in January but, with the third Kock De La Vesvre having franked the form when winning earlier in the week, that was probably a decent effort. Entitled to strip fitter for the run, he should be too good for some moderate rivals. Taunton handicap winner Power Unit has more to do here giving weight away all round and a better bet for the forecast may prove to be Jim Old's Procedure, although the form of the stable remains a worry. Neither Athleague Guest or Dalcassian Buck have shown any worthwhile form this season.
