Verdict

Balleticon led until inside the final furlong at Southwell in May and will know more today. Dontcounturchikens was third at Ludlow in April but that form looks nothing special. The Wolf was favourite on debut at Stratford but, having been hampered at an early stage, never got into contention. He is almost certainly better that that but there are newcomers to note in this including A Little Early, Archirondel and Shang Tang. CHAMPAGNE WELL and Silver Forever are both winning pointers and it’s the former who gets the vote being slightly more experienced than Paul Nicholls’ four-year-old.
