In depth

Verdict

This looks a potentially-informative novices’ handicap. Balibour ran a nice race at Kempton last month and is from a stable in good form. Otter Moon and The Dubai Way were third and fourth at Southwell last month but both were well beaten. Neil Mulholland runs three but Rainy Day Dylan finished tailed off at Newton Abbot on his chasing bow and Dalaman might need this. CESAR ET ROSALIE is tackling fences for the first time but looks a likely sort for chasing and a lengthy absence is not a concern as he runs his best races after a break. Noel Fehily’s mount could be a bit of value against the likes of Worcester scorer Awake At Midnight and the returning Early Du Lemo. Doc Carver and Oxwich Bay are feasibly treated but a bigger danger may be Marley Firth, who has won between the flags as well as over hurdles and has had wind surgery since last seen.
