Verdict

Dawn Rising ran well in a Grade 1 at Naas last time but isn’t certain to be suited by this extra half-mile. Favori De Champdou was completing a hat-trick when beating subsequent winner Letsbeclearaboutit at Limerick in December while Monty's Star got the better of Hiddenvalley Lake and Search For Glory in a Grade 3 over this trip at Clonmel last month, though was beaten by Shanbally Kid in a Navan maiden earlier. Gordon Elliott has been very bullish about the chances of THREE CARD BRAG (NAP) in this. He’s improved with every run and his pedigree is all about stamina so he is going to relish a first try over 3m. He beat Sandor Clegane at Galway in the autumn without coming under maximum pressure. Corbetts Cross beat Seabank Bistro when winning his maiden and has since completed a hat-trick and Stay Away Fay remains unexposed while Paul Townend has chosen Embassy Gardens of Willie Mullins’ trio. Rock My Way has been a flag bearer for Syd Hosie and won over 3m between the flags but he was beaten by Weveallbeencaught here two runs ago.
