      Verdict

MAAKAASIB (NAP) was not disgraced when third at Yarmouth on his debut to subsequent Windsor Castle winner Ardad. Simon Crisford’s colt looks the one to beat on that form. Thomas Cranmer looks next best on his debut fifth at Lingfield while Law Power finished ahead of Father Mckenzie when fourth at Windsor and the latter has since been beaten at Chepstow. Stablemates and newcomers Desert Sport and Wadood are both related to winners and the betting may provide the best clue to their respective chances.
