Verdict

ANOTHER MOMENT appealed as an interesting sort for handicaps when winning his maiden over course and distance and is selected to repel the challenges of Shady Gloom and Luna Landing amongst others. The useful bumper performer battled on bravely to get the better of a Stoute trained subsequent winner on his Flat bow and appears to have the scope for further improvement. That will need to be the case as the handicapper has taken few chances. Holiday Cocktail has been making hay this summer but has saved his best form for Pontefract and may need to return to that stiffer track to resume winning ways. Woody Waller still has a bit to learn about the game, Lost Soldier Three has questions to answer and Inspector Clouseau has his stamina to prove. Luna Landing has the form to be a factor and Shady Gloom hails from an in-form yard and appeals as the type to taste further success but he may have to play second fiddle to Another Moment.
