Ventura Knight completed a hat-trick in the summer, including under a huge weight in a Leicester nursery, but hasn't done as well on softer going from his higher mark. Poet's Dawn has won one from 11 but has been beaten in photo-finishes three times in his last four. He's up again in the weights though his rider's claim is a plus. Che Bella went up 10lb for her Thirsk victory over a mile and couldn't cope at Pontefract though heavy ground wouldn't have helped. She had three lengths to spare over EL CHAPO for that victory but the latter was in the lead at this trip and has since beaten Poet's Dawn and Star Of Zaam narrowly here. There's little between that quartet but Richard Fahey's charge just gets the vote.
