Northern Chorus has solid claims on recent evidence having been narrowly beaten by Hypnosis last time a run for which he is set to go up 2lbs in future handicaps but the gelding has yet to prove his effectiveness for six furlongs and a safer bet looks to be Our Sheila, who is preferred to Esoterica. The last mentioned has been kept busy this season after just one start as a juvenile and hails from a yard in form but David Barron's gelding could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Eagle Eye is less exposed than most but Geoff Wragg's colt needs to improve and is another that could do with being dropped a couple of pounds. Rosita Mia looks to be going the right way and is another to consider but she is held by Our Sheila on running last time and David Barker's filly is taken to follow up.
