Listen To Reason has run well off today's mark in his last two starts and should again be thereabouts but James Given's gelding may again have to settle for a minor role and a better bet could be Gem Bien, with Cyfrwys rated the best of the remainder. The selection resumed winning ways on the all-weather last time and remains potentially well treated back on turf. Top weight Cyfrwys held on well over six furlongs at Chepstow last week and should have no difficulty with the extra furlong today, although the 6lb penalty may anchor him somewhat. David Nicholls saddles two runners with Sir Don marginally preferred to Hamaasy of his representatives, although neither have particularly obvious claims on recent evidence. Blue Empire is well treated on all-weather form and is another worthy of a mention along with the consistent Sir Northerndancer and Joshua's Gold, for who the promising apprentice Danny Tudhope takes the ride. Gem Bien has a decent handicap mark though and if in the same mood as at Wolverhampton last time may be good enough to land this.
