Verdict

Art Trend is likely to start a short priced favourite to land this and while his form is head and shoulders above what any of the others have achieved, it is far from anything to get overly excited about and he is opposed. He has looked one paced on more than one occasion on his three outings to date and could well be flattered by his rating of 83. That said, bad beats worse but at the likely odds he is opposed. Of the newcomers, Mark Johnston saddles a colt by Singspiel called Beaujeu and market confidence would be significant while Brathay from the Mark Tompkins stable is also bred to be decent; by Sadler's Wells out of a Pursuit Of Love mare. Kevin Ryan's Shady Gloom was not disgraced on her seasonal debut, tiring in the closing stages when fitness possibly was an issue. The winner of that event Stock Market has been well beaten off 80. We will give the newcomer Beaujeu the vote.
