Loughlorien is the percentage call with Amanda's Lad, Queen Of Night and Bettys Pride shortlisted as alternatives. It took Amanda's Lad an eternity to get off the mark but he has the ability to double his career haul if he gets the breaks in running. Frustratingly, he also has a knack of finding a few too good and is for the brave only. Queen Of Night showed her well being when finishing third at Beverley last week. She is incredibly hard to get right though and is not certain to post a similar effort today. A similar comment can be aimed at Bettys Pride, whose efforts this season have left a little to be desired. However, the Michael Dodds-trained mare is on a fair mark and holds place claims again. However, preference goes to Loughlorien, who has been a grand servant to his yard. The gelding is a dual course winner seems to raise his game for his visits to Catterick. Having won off an 8lb higher mark in the past, Loughlorien has plenty in his favour today ad looks the safest option from a bunch of frustrating underachievers.
