Verdict

Maiden hunter chases are for the true aficionados and MURPHYS BEAU is the most tentative of recommendations. The gelding has placed on all five starts since having his attentions turned to point-to-pointing and also has some decent form to his name in modest handicap company last autumn. He looks one of the more reliable sorts. Silk And Roses has also shown up well in point-to-point company and should deliver a solid account, whereas Dystonia's Revenge is hard to be confident about. Well supported at Perth last time, he was let down by his jumping and not for the first time. The six-year-old does have time on his side though and would be of interest if honing his fencing technique.
