Sea Cove won well enough at Sedgefield on Tuesday and has to be respected under his 7lb penalty but the softer ground today will make this tougher for Dianne Sayer's mare as it may for Blossom King and preference is for MAJOR TITLE. James Lambe's gelding has not won for over two years but has dropped to fair mark as a result, goes on the ground better than most of his opponents and he may be worth chancing in this company at the likely odds. Fellow Irish raider Banian remains a maiden after 12 starts and has only been placed once in those outings so he looks best watched. Martin Todhunter's Wensleydale Web has gone well in his last two starts here but may now be too high in the weights, while Tommy Tobougg has yet to confirm that he handles ground as soft as this. Tom George's Blossom King has shown improved form in his last two starts and has solid claims but Major Title has an obvious chance off his current mark and he is preferred.
