Any market support for Divvys Dream would be an indication that Evan Williams has his gelding ready for this after an absence since March but he was well held that day and a better bet looks to be JORDAN'S LIGHT, who is preferred to Rio Laine. Tom George's gelding was good value for his first success over fences when landing a handicap at Worcester last week and he has every chance off a 6lb higher mark today but softer ground would have to be of some concern and he looks best watched having shown a liking for fast ground. Pinewood Legend ran well enough over course and distance last time over fences but has been beaten a long way on a recent start on the flat and is hard to back with confidence, while Troodos Jet has to race from out of the handicap proper. Richard Ford's Silver Steel looks to be going the right way but is another that would probably want the ground to dry out a touch and preference is for Jordan's Light. A confirmed performer with cut in the ground, Peter Monteith's gelding has been running well on the flat of late and has an obvious chance back over fences with ground conditions to suit.
