Nothing leaps out of the page as a reliable selection here and this could be the stumbling block for many a placepot. However, Heraclitean Fire and Some Trainer, along with Master Henry and Tender Touch appear to be the ones to concentrate on. And the booking of Tony Dobbin for the ride aboard Heraclitean Fire is enough to swing the vote in favour of the Irish raider. The firmer than ideal ground for the selection does have to be of slight concern but he has enough useful form in his homeland to suggest that he will act on the predicted going. Dobbin is a masterful rider of this idyllic course and the partnership are taken to edge it from fellow Irish hope Some Trainer, who has so far failed to win a race despite having had many similar chances in the Emerald Isle.
