A competitive handicap can go to TEMPLETUOHY MAX, while Blue Spinnaker, Celtic Change and High Office are among a number of dangers. The selection has won all of his three races over this 1m 1f trip, and so the step back up from a mile at Thirsk last time is taken as a positive. He is also back on a winning mark of 68 and he goes on the ground, although wouldn't mind it quicker, so we will side with him tonight. Blue Spinnaker has been the subject of one or two successful Mick Easterby coups over the years, and he is effective from 1m up to 1m 2f and on any ground. Now 12lbs higher than when scoring at Doncaster in March he has run two very good races in defeat since and should not be far away. Last week's Beverley scorer Celtic Change carries a 6lb penalty, and the way he ran there suggests that this step up by a furlong will suit well, so he should make another bold bid. High Office won a Musselburgh maiden on good to soft last month and remains on a mark of 75 for this return to handicapping. He won't mind the ground and money for him would probably be significant. Dream Of Olwyn is another with minor claims, but Templetuohy Max can have his day.
