Verdict
With the Tim Easterby stable continuing in good form we will side with PEPPERCORN RENT to improve for her debut run and win this, while Electric Waves and Choose Wisely are both given due consideration. The selection heads north-west after being tried at Southwell on the Fibresand on her introduction, when her spin looked more educational than anything. She is related to several juvenile winners, although over longer trips, but this stiff 5f may help bring her likely stamina into play. Electric Waves made a decent debut behind a well-fancied Hannon-trained runner at Windsor, finishing fourth in a big field. He is bred to show plenty of speed and improvement would see him go very close again today. Choose Wisely finished a length down in a moderate Catterick maiden on his second start, on ground described as firm. That showed that he, too, is going the right way, and a win would be no surprise. There are pedigree positives for newcomers Aprication, Mercy Street, and particularly for No Explanation, though preference is for Peppercorn Rent.
