Diamond Royal, with first time blinkers applied here is selected to land it for the Ed Dunlop yard. The selection has displayed some promise in three maidens outings but was very disappointing on her handicap debut last time, where after been prominent she lost her position rapidly after coming under pressure. Dropping back to six furlongs here is the unknown but she does have plenty of early dash over a mile. The consistent Wiseman's Diamond was disappointing last time out but should be thereabouts while Chaenomeles put behind two disappointing handicap efforts with a second placing last time, where after looking the most likely winner she weakened tamely. Kool Katie is another taking a notable step back in distance after appearing a non-stayer over nine furlongs last time. Diamond Royal is the pick to land it.
