Verdict
Josephine Malines comes out best when race conditions are taken into account but is probably flattered by her rating of 70 as she showed very little on her seasonal debut for new connections in what was a weak maiden. As a result she is opposable and Inside Story is given the vote. Should the market speak in Inside Story's favour it would be of real interest but indications are that a win for Mick Easterby's charge might not be too far away. He caught the eye when staying on well from an unpromising position in a competitive Thirsk handicap two weeks ago. The fourth in that event Just Bond ran a big race at York on Friday. Little Jimbob has had three outings to date this year and more than likely was in need of the first two given his advancing years. His third at Beverley was a much improved effort and a high draw means that Paul Hanagan can execute Little Jimbob's usual front running tactics. Rowan Lodge is another to consider but this appears a stronger contest to the seller he finished third in last time. Inside Story is given the vote to land the opener.
