Verdict
Favourite Girl is the pick to land this median auction maiden after a pleasing effort at Doncaster last time. Connections have opted to drop the filly back in trip here after the six furlongs appeared to suit last time but given the weak nature of the contest, the five here should not overly inconvenience her bid. Metroland has looked moderate to date and it exemplifies how poor a contest it is that she is likely to head the market. It would be foolish to read to much into her second last time as that was in a muddling three runner event, however that said, it was an improved effort on her two outings beforehand. It would be hard to see the remainder of those with racecourse experience landing it but support for Classic Contours, an American bred colt, trained by Alan Swinbank or the Bryan Smart trained Inheritor would be noteworthy. Experience is likely to rule- the-roust and Favourite Girl is the selection.
