Howard Johnson's Timeless Elegance has won her last two starts but a 14lb rise for the latest of those successes at Ayr looks harsh so she may have to settle for minor honours in a race taken to go to EMERALD GIRL, who gets the vote with Breathless Kiss rated the best of the rest. The selection represents the bang in-form stable of Richard Fahey and looks worth siding with having been given a chance by the handicapper, who has dropped him 1lb since his most recent start when a close third behind Bated Breath in a better race than this at Pontefract earlier this month. David Lanigan's Copper Penny won her maiden well enough at Beverley last month but she is likely to find this tougher stepping into a handicap for the first time. Ed McMahon's Shaluca is lightly raced and could be of interest, while Richard Hannon's Tarita will need to run much better than at Newbury recently if he is to play a part in the finish. Kevin Ryan's Breathless Kiss showed improved form at Ayr last time and has every chance racing off the same mark today but marginal preference is for Emerald Girl, who can open her account for the season.
