In depth

Verdict

Manadam, Killyglen, King Jack and Jaunty Flight are the quartet that we're going to concentrate on although there are one or two others worthy of consideration. We'll award our vote to Killyglen. The selection sprung a 33-1 surprise in a heavy ground Ayr bumper on debut but the form looks solid with the second a decent yardstick and the fifth winning impressively on his next start. He should be all the better for the experience of his hurdling bow at Down Royal, the third that day has won since and the first four pulled a long way clear. Manadam made his British debut over fences and was backed to get the better of Nevertika so must have been pleasing someone. He has some decent form to his name in France and must be feared. With The Polomoche running below par, King Jack may not have had all that much to do at Kempton but it must still go down as a decent performance from a progressive horse. Jaunty Flight's form has taken the odd knock and she looks to have a bit to do in a race with several decent prospects. Or D'Oudairies is one that rates a mention but Killyglen gets the nod.
