In depth

Verdict

Not much form to go in this maiden but Metroland sets the standard and is forwarded as the pick over the newcomers Miss Scarlet and Paddy Bear. The selection has had a few chances but her form is solid enough and she will be suited by the return to the minimum trip today. She is no good thing but she should be difficult to beat. Miss Scarlet is a Red Ransom filly and her yard have a decent strike-rate with their 2-year-olds this season. The general form of the stable is also good so she is certainly of interest on her racecourse bow. Similar comments would also apply to Richard Fahey's colt Paddy Bear, although he is bred to do better over slightly further in time. Tori's Secret ran well on his debut here over this course and distance and if he handles this quicker ground then he would have to be of interest. However, Metroland brings the best form to the table and she is the one they all have to beat.
