Verdict
There was a lot to like about the way that Great View knuckled down to the task in hand at Newbury last time and the four-year-old is selected over Gabor, Mad Carew and Top Of The Class - although Ian Wood, who won this last year with Bella Empressario, also looks to have live each way claims again with his representative Swynford Elegance. However, Great View is very treated in comparison to his earlier ratings and his confidence will have been boosted by his first success since last summer. The booking of Carol Williams is also a big plus besides his name and the partnership can be reunited to good effect here. Gabor and Mighty Pip are closely matched after their meeting here last time, but as the latter picks up a penalty today, Gabor is taken to give Great View the most to do.
