The shortlisted three here are Dvinsky, Landucci and Trace Clip, with the vote going to Landucci. The selection won over course and distance five days ago, winning well and suggesting that running under a penalty was not such a bad move. Dvinsky has put in two fair runs since winning at Chepstow, including when four lengths behind the selection here five days ago. He is now six pounds better off at the weights but it might not be enough to turn things around. Trace Clip is upped in trip following a promising effort at Bath last time, and he too must be afforded respect. Joy And Pain is better on the all-weather, although he has the odd bit of Turf form that gives him a chance, while Minimum Bid is better on artificial surfaces. What-A-Dancer is well-weighted based on his Turf form of 2003 and might go well, but Spin King does not look obviously well handicapped. One that could be is Landucci, and he gets the vote.
