Verdict

Croix de Guerre looks the answer to a low-grade event while Leonor de Soto and Blue Savanna are the chief dangers. The selection made a winning handicap debut on this track earlier in the month when scoring with a little to spare over nine furlongs and this lightly raced sort looks capable of defying a subsequent 3lb rise in the handicap. Leonor de Soto followed a selling win over seven furlongs here earlier in the month with a narrow success at Warwick but has since had her limitations exposed and looks vulnerable to a less exposed rival. Blue Savanna remains a maiden and was well beaten off a similar mark in a weak maiden handicap at Warwick last time and shapes as though he is need of further so Croix de Guerre looks the one to beat.
