An uncompetitive contest and this looks another good opportunity for Sir Mark Prescott to strike with the unexposed Nadeszhda at the main expense of Havantadoubt and Prime Attraction. The selection showed little in maiden events over inadequate trips last year but has started the season on a lenient mark and this late maturing type took full advantage over a trip more in keeping with her pedigree when scoring a convincing two-length win at Catterick last week. The manner of her victory strongly suggests that she is well ahead of the handicapper at present and a 6lb penalty is unlikely to prevent a follow up. Havantadoubt was a comfortable winner over this trip at Goodwood in late June but has had her limitations exposed since and may prove vulnerable off her current mark. Prime Attraction has claims on her placed efforts off similar marks earlier in the season but has been well below her best of late and is readily opposed with Nadeszhda who appears to have this at her mercy.
