Lenwade can reverse recent form with Treetops Hotel on these terms and rates as good value in yet another tricky race. Etching is in good heart and, along with Forehand and Figaro's Quest, is fancied to be in the thick of the action when push comes to shove. Figaro's Quest dropped a significant hint that he has a race within him with a good effort over course and distance last month. Paul Cole's charge is at the right end of the weights and is one to seriously consider if there are good vibes emitting from the betting ring about him. The same has to be said of Forehand, who is better than he consented to show at Musselburgh last time. The fast ground may have been to blame at Goodwood but he will be better suited to today's conditions. Etching is also respected after her near miss at Newcastle eleven days ago. The going is a concern with her though and she would not want too much more rain. Therefore, we switch to Lenwade as the one most likely to give us a good run at a fair price. George Margarson's charge is impervious to the ground and, as previous course and distance winner, she is expected to give Saleem Golam a safe passage around today.
