Several of these hold chances, with Sophist heading the shortlist over Katicht, Roslea Lady and Elise. The last named is a well-bred type should make an impact as a three-year-old. However, she does need to improve on what she has shown so far and looks a little risky for win only purposes. Roslea Lady enjoyed a satisfactory introduction at Lingfield and is entitled to have come on for the run. James Fanshawe always has to be respected with his fillies and a move in the market for his charge should not be ignored. Similar comments apply to Katicht, who has experience of racing when there is some cut in the ground. The form of his latest start is working out well enough for him to hold place claims at this level and he is worth noting in the betting market. However, Sophist, who holds a Derby entry, was a real eye-catcher on his introduction and was really getting the hang of things near the finish. He is an expensive purchase that will appreciate today's extra furlong and he will be very hard to beat if he delivers on the promise he showed on his first start.
